The small share is suitable for two people, or a household that still buys imported veggies in the winter.
The large share is suitable for a veggie-loving pair (note: it is a lot of food!) or a household.
14 weeks (7 pickups) of locally and organically grown vegetables – in the winter! Find out more about the winter CSA.
All pickups are from the middle of November until the end of February.
A chlorophyll-packed way to get a head start on spring. We produce a bounty of leafy greens (and some other treats too!) in our passive solar greenhouses. This amazing bounty is available weeks and weeks before you see most locally and organically grown greens in stores, and the quality and freshness is unparalleled. A wonderful way to cleanse your body after the winter. Take the greens challenge and your body will thank you!
Start time is usually early April but can be sooner or later depending on the weather. Length is generally 5 weeks, sometimes 6, depending on how quickly things grow. Crops include: salad greens, arugula, baby spinach, baby kale and chard, kohlrabi, radish, carrots (even though they aren't green), mizuna, tatsoi, green garlic, bok choi, numerous varieties of asian greens, head lettuce and rapini.
Share the bounty by making a donation. This will be converted to an equal value in vegetables and given to families struggling with food security through the Southern Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre. Please note that we are not a charity and this is not tax-deductible, but it is an awesome way to make safe and healthy food accessible to those who need it most.
